KAMOTO. Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo - The Kamoto Mine is an underground copper and cobalt mine to the west of Musonoi in Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The exploitation rights are owned by the Kamoto Copper Company, a joint venture between Katanga Mining and the state-owned Gécamines

ESCONDIDA-ZALDIVAR. Atacama Region, Chile - Escondida mine consist in two open pit copper mines in the Atacama Desert, 170 km southeast of Antofagasta in northern Chile. Peru is the first gold producer in Latin America, In Madre Dios, where 46,000 artisanal miners are extracting minerals, only 10% is legal.

LA COIPA. Atacama Region, Chile - La Coipa is a gold and silver mine active from 1993 in the Atacama region of northern Chile.
SISHEN & KHUMANI. Kathu, South Africa - Khumani Iron Ore Mine – formerly known as the Bruce, King and Mokaning (“BKM”) Project, which refers to the farms on which the iron ore resources are located – is situated approximately 30km south of the town of Kathu and approximately 65 km north of Beeshoek Mine, in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. The Sishen mine is a large iron mine located in central South Africa in Kathu, Northern Cape. Sishen represents one of the largest iron ore reserves in South Africa and in the world having estimated reserves of 2.43 billion tonnes of ore grading 58.6% iron metal.
MACRAES New Zealand - In East Otago is New Zealand's largest gold mine, and consists of a large scale opencast mine opened in 1990, and a newer underground mine, opened in 2008. It is situated close to the settlement of Macraes Flat and is owned by OceanaGold.

Baja, Portugal - Neves-Corvo mine is a zinc-copper mine 15 km southeast of Castro Verde, Portugal and 220 km southeast of Lisbon, in the district of Beja It has a dedicated rail link to the port of Setúbal. The mine is principally accessed by shaft mining and a ramp from surface. It is a main producer of copper and zinc mineral.
TENKE-FUNGURUME. Lualaba, Democratic Republic of Congo - Tenke Fungurume Mining SA (TFM) is one of the largest copper and cobalt producers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Construction on the site began in the latter part of 2006, and in 2009, TFM produced its first copper. Tenke Fungurume Mining takes its name from the two neighbouring communities of Tenke and Fungurume.
GRIFFIN & EWINGTON. Western Australia, Australia - Griffin Coal Mine and Ewington Coal Mine are larges mines near the town of Collie in Western Australia, producing about 8 mn tons of coal annually.
MOATIZE. Tete Province, Mozambique - The Moatize coal mine located in the Tete Province of Mozambique is one of the world's biggest coal mines by reserves. The mine produced 4.03Mt of metallurgical coal and 4.73Mt of thermal coal in 2019, compared to 6.1Mt of metallurgical coal and 5.4Mt of thermal coal in 2018.
RAJO ESPERANZA CENTINELA. Sierra Gorda, Antofagasta, Chile - Centinela produces copper concentrates –mainly containing gold– through a grinding and flotation process in the sulfide line; and copper cathodes using a solvent extraction and electrowinning (SX-EW) procedure on the oxide line.
SABODALA. Sabodala, Senegal - Sabodala is a large-scale gold mine located in the West African Birimian geological belt. It is situated approximately 404 miles (650km) east of Dakar, the capital city of Senegal.
SALAR DE OLAROZ. Jujuy, Argentina - The Salar de Olaroz mine is one of the largest lithium mines in Argentina.[1] The mine is located in northern Argentina in Jujuy Province. The Salar de Olaroz mine has reserves amounting to 619 million tonnes of lithium ore grading 0.2% lithium thus resulting 1.21 million tonnes of lithium
BULYANHULU. Shinyanga Region, Tanzania - Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is a narrow-vein underground gold mine containing gold, silver, and copper mineralization in sulfides in the Shinyanga Region of Tanzania, located 55 kilometers south of Lake Victoria.
SALAR DE UYUNI. Potosí, Bolivia - Salar de Uyuni, amid the Andes in southwest Bolivia, is the world’s largest salt flat. It’s the legacy of a prehistoric lake that went dry, leaving behind a desertlike, nearly 11,000-sq.-km. landscape of bright-white salt, rock formations and cacti-studded islands.
SPENCE. Antofagasta, Chile - Spence was the first greenfield large-scale mining project to be developed in Chile in six years. Ore is processed at the rate of 50,000t a day. The Spence expansion is expected to extend the mine life of the project by 50 years and add around 200,000 tonnes of annual copper output.
TONKOLILI. Northern Province, Sierra Leona - The Tonkolili mine is a large iron mine located in central Sierra Leone in the Northern Province. Tonkolili represents one of the largest iron ore reserves in Sierra Leone and in the world having estimated reserves of 12.8 billion tonnes of ore grading 64% iron metal.
TSHIPI BORWA. Kalahari CBDC, South Africa - Tshipi Borwa mine is an open pit manganese mine in the Kalahari Manganese Field (KMF) located in the Northern Cape. Approximately 80% of world's known economic manganese resources are contained in the Kalahari manganese field in South Africa. The open-cut mining operation is located just north of Sishen and is adjacent to South 32's large open-cut Mamatwan mine that has been operating for decades.
VELADERO. San Juan, Argentina - The Veladero mine is one of the largest gold mines in Argentina and in the world. The mine is located in the north-western part of Argentina in San Juan Province. The mine has estimated reserves of 10 million oz of gold.
